Our pals Lindy and Mike from the UK got here safe and sound and after a light meal went straight to bed. After all, they had been traveling for about 21 hours since leaving their home in England and there’s plenty of time to catch up tomorrow. They will be with us until next Thursday, and their visit will be a mixture of business and pleasure. It’s great to see them again. Lindy found us on the internet about five years ago and came to visit in 2001. She remembers Drew as a very little guy at that time; actually he learned to sit up during her first visit here and now look at him! Wow, time flies.

We have finally achieved Podcasting, the new wave in internet communication. Now, as you may have heard Bill say in his best radio announcer voice, we don’t have to worry about spelling errors in our updates!! You can see and hear our blogs at www.appaloosa.net. We will still do written updates but now you can catch us “live” as well. Check it out! Our thanks to Buddy Dorothy for being encouraging and sending us info and saying “it’s easy, you can do it!” She’s right, it was.

Bill has been working with Chester in anticipation of him being picked up on Saturday. We need to make sure he can stand tied and load into the trailer. We are not actually using the trailer, but are pretending a little by using a bridge in the arena so he gets used to stepping up onto something hard and loud!

Little “Bob” got shined up the other day for his first outing with mom. We got him cleaned up and took him and Frosty outside to the pasture near the office for their first photo op together. It was fairly overcast but there was an inch or two of snow on the ground, which gave us a pretty winter backdrop. After today’s storm, we have about 6 inches more “pretty winter!!”
