We’re happy to report that the photo shoot went very well this past weekend. They got some great shots of the horses and the kids too. The weather cooperated pretty well – it wasn’t the perfect snow covered sunny Wisconsin day we were hoping for, but it wasn’t too cold or raining or snowing either. The photographer and writer came out very early Sunday morning when there was frost on the ground, so that added some interest to the photos. One of the most interesting things was that Frank the writer and ApHC Marketing Director has an amazing talent. He made the most incredible horse noise, just like a real horse. It would catch the horses’ attention so well it was unbelievable. I think the horses actually were a little confused as he sounded so much like one of them, yet looked like one of us! Kate, our boarder and renter, is back home after a long show season in Florida and Atlanta. She arrived with three of her horses safe and sound after a very long night’s drive. Kate and her horses did very well this season, riding and jumping in some very big events and placing nicely in many of them. Her stallion, Linus, who performed exceptionally well, has been accepted as a registered Dutch Warmblood breeding stallion. Congrats, Kate! It’s good to have you home. Well, Zip Me International!!! We got this email today telling us that Zippy had his first international foal from frozen semen! We are Impressed, lol! A nice colored colt. As soon as we get pictures, we will post them. Here is her note: Hello Bill and Susan, I’m so happy. This night the first zippy foal is born in Switzerland. It’s a little colt, so cute, most colorful. I’ll send you a picture as soon as possible. greetings marlise We also heard from another customer that had a Zippy foal yesterday. I haven’t got the specifics yet other then it is a very tall filly.
