We got a call on Luke yesterday. He is doing very well the trainer said. He is easy to get along with and doesn’t get mad at anything. He said Luke is still a bit gangly like a teenager and once he figures that out he should be really good. Time will tell.
Mattie has been going out in the new back paddock for a short time each day. It’s very grassy and we need to build up her time eating grass gradually. We are also turning Java and Roxy out to the paddock near the road. It’s pretty overgrown and we’ll let them gradually graze it down before we open all the gates between their current paddock, the road paddock and the new one we added recently out in front. All three are connected by gates, so then they can roam around as they please in a big area.
Bobbina never ceases to delight and entertain us. She is just not afraid of anything - well, except riding on GoBob, the golf cart. We haven’t been able to convince her to get on a moving vehicle, which is actually very smart on her part. BB loves to sit on GoBob though, especially when he’s piled high with shavings that we’ve brought from the church barn to the new barn. She will climb up there as high as she can get and snuggle in to watch whatever’s happening. Last week, she kept Cindy T company while she watered down the arena. BB would sit and watch the water spray, just fascinated, and as it got closer to where she was sitting, she’d casually move to a drier spot. Yesterday, we caught her in the round pen with Zippy, drinking out of his water dish!
