We hope everyone had a great Fourth of July. We saw lots of great decorated bikes at the parade, lots of politicians and lots of veterans just what the fourth is all about. This I think we be our last year as spectators. Next year we will be in the parade - most likely on Go Bob the wonder golf cart.
We got the call today that our first cutting of hay will be coming at the end of the week. Of course it will. You see I am leaving out of town on the 6th to the appaloosa national board meeting in Oklahoma. Susan says she can handle it and we will try to round up as many helpers as possible. She is much more organized then I am so I am sure it will go smoothly. Hey, it’s only 1000 bales right?
Delight and Reverse-A-Bull are doing great. They don’t get the limelight too often since cows are just so easy in the summertime, but they are both round and content. Their day is spent moving from shade tree to shade tree to rest in the coolest spot, and they graze in between side by side. Pretty good work if you can get it!
I had to change halters again on the weanlings as they just keep on growing. Romeo got a new one and Phoebe got Romeo’s old one. His head is a little bigger and longer than hers, of course, he is a little bigger everywhere than she is. Frosty always seems to have big foals.
Less than three weeks until the BuddyBash and Open House! We are putting the finishing touches on the schedule and will post it as soon as it is finished. Lots of fun this year as usual, and a few new twists to entertain the “regulars” without changing TOO much of a good formula for fun.
