Fanny is really driving me crazy. If you do not get there early enough with her hay, she will start leaning on the fence. Leaning and leaning to reach the grass outside the pasture. Hopefully, I get there in time, or before you know it a board or two has popped off of the fence. Then I have to spend time nailing all the boards back up. Farm livin. LOL
Cindy T and I were at the World Dairy Expo last week. The crowd was nice and steady with the weather being so nice. We sold a lot of BarnCams at the expo, even one to a dairy farmer from Japan, who used an interpreter to learn about the product and complete the transaction.
The other night, Sarah and I were greeted by two bats in the mare barn. They flew back and forth up and down the aisle a couple of times to let us know that they did not appreciate us turning on the lights. I am so happy to see them as they are great for keeping the bugs away. I have yet to see where they live, but I am sure they are hanging around somewhere. Heh heh heh.
The weanlings are growing up so fast. We just put new (bigger) halters on them and Matilda too. Romeo can now put his entire head over the top of the fence, which is about five feet tall. He and Phoebe have eaten the paddock down to stubble but still graze after they finish up their hay. When its time to come in at night, their little noses are all dusty from trying to pull up quarter inch grass blades all afternoon!
