Saddlebrook Appaloosa Horses

• October 19, 2006 - Break Away

Busy day today. Bill moved hay and there were more BarnCam orders. Of course, the day would not be complete without some fence mending. Yes, that darn Fanny was at it again. In all the years we have had horses out here none of them have ever broken through a fence. Well, OK, with the exception of Zippy that ONE time with the round pen, but it was spring, he was feeling his studly oats if ya know what we mean…. Fanny is smart and has figured out that she is strong and the fence will eventually bend or break if she pushes hard enough. She’s not being aggressive, just assertive!

HorseCam, CowCam, AlpacaCam….what’s next you say? How about GoatCam! The American Dairy Goat Association is having their convention in Milwaukee near the airport (about 45 minutes away from us) and we have a table there to sell some BarnCams. There is a large catalog retailer called Caprine Supply that has a big presence in the market, and our table is right next to their booth. They sell BarnCams through their catalog and are big supporters of ours. They love our products and so do their customers. Yesterday, Cindy and Don T, who live right in Milwaukee, went to set everything up. This morning, Bill went over to see if he could get a camera hooked up in the goat tent, which is about 100’ outside of the hotel where the vendor booths are set up. Everything went well and now the customers can watch the goats inside right at our booth.

Well we got all the horses moved around.  Frosty and Cookie are now in the big west side pasture and Fanny and Spice are over in the big East side pasture. Fanny and Spice didn’t seem to mind the cows at all. The cows didn’t seem to mind either.
