• December 6, 2006 - Buddy Bash

Mark your calendars! The 2007 Open House and Buddy Bash is scheduled for this coming July 20 – 22. EveryBuddy is welcome to the Open House on Saturday the 21st. Don’t forget….. if you become a Buddy you are invited for the entire weekend! Something to think about : )

Everyone is getting their turn outside in the fresh air, even though it is coooooooold out there. Luke gets wrapped up in his big warm blanky, since he doesn’t have a nice thick coat like the others do. He loves his play time outside. Last night was riding night, so Fanny, Spice and Java come inside to the arena barn. The cows love Tuesdays because they get the whole pasture and the hay piles to themselves. I think I saw Reverse stick his tongue out at Spice when she left!

The vet came this week to check on Penny and Luke. Chris is the vet with the chiropractic skills that worked on those two a few weeks ago. She thought that both horses looked pretty good, with much improved movement over the last time. They each got another adjustment which they both love.

We said goodbye to Buddy Lois and Squeakers last Thursday. Lois came here with her friend who took her horse Stormy to the Wisconsin Equine Clinic. Stormy has a bad tooth that is causing his sinus problems. The plan was to pick up Squeakers after they were done at the clinic and everyBuddy ride home together. You may know that we decided that Squeakers belongs at home with Lois and her family now, to help them heal from the recent tragedies at their farm. Thursday morning Lois was so excited waiting for them to get here. We were all in the office and every time we heard a truck or car pass by on the road we all turned around to see if it was them! I asked Lois if she was excited nervous or excited happy and she said “Both!” Squeakers was a little nervous to get into the trailer, but Bill is so patient and knows just what to do to make a horse comfortable and confident. Once she was in, we all hugged (we gave Lois extra (((hugs))) from all the Buddies!) and they were on their way. EveryBuddy arrived home safe and sound and Squeakers has settled in nicely with her “new” old family : )
