You have probably all seen this on the board already, but just in case…Cookie’s colt’s long awaited name is….ZMI Spots Illustrated.  Barn name, Sport! Congrats to Buddy Teri M for suggesting the name. Sport loves it!!

The little guy had his first outing with mom beyond the barn walls last week. Bill and Erika took them out to the bee pasture for a photo shoot. It was such a beautiful sunny day and the snow makes a great background for pictures of the horses. Bill had his superfast automatic camera that snaps one picture right after the other. When Cookie and Sport weren’t running around the pasture, they were making friends with Luke on the other side of the fence. It was Sport’s first close encounter with another horse besides mom. Sport is definitely not shy, and he went right up to Luke to investigate.

Phoebe’s new owner Peg, her husband and two of their children came to visit over the weekend.  We had a great time and it was really nice to meet more of the family.  We took Phoebe for a walk.  We let her run loose in the arena for a little bit.  She sure was bucking and kicking when she had the chance.  Her leg is obviously doing very well and didn’t seem to slow her down at all.  As soon as I hear back from the vet, I am sure that we will get the ok to let her out of the stall more often.
