Luke is back from the trainers and we Buddied him up with Java in the big pasture. He is doing great. Bill took him for a spin in the arena.  They are confident that anyone can ride him anywhere at this point. While they were here they also got to look everyone over and they seemed to like Chief best of the foals and really wanted us to get Matilda in training soon for next year's reining stuff.  We will have to think about that as it takes a tremendous amount of training before you can even show a horse in the reining classes.

Luke and Java are getting along just great, but the really surprising thing was that it seemed like Java was in charge. Luke followed him all around the pasture.  This might be a temporary thing, as Luke hasn't been here for a while.  I know Java feels pretty confident in the big pasture, but we will have to see.  They are working their way onto grass hour by hour.  By the weekend they should be out on grass full time.
Next it was Cash and Fanny's turn to go over to the Chwala's for some training. I heard from Andy today and Fanny is doing great and should be ready to show in some classes this weekend.  Cash is also doing great and they are spending some time going over the basics to see what he remembers.  I plan on going to the show this weekend also.

Erika's friend Kimberly brought her horse Mason to start boarding him here and working off some of the cost. She will not start working for a while, but she is committed to our place when the hay arrives.  The hay should arrive in the not too distant future as this rain/sun combo is making our lawn grow like crazy.  I can't keep up :
